Frequently Asked Questions

I've never done yoga. Will I fit in on a retreat?

There is no good, better, best in yoga. Everyone's practice is unique and personalized to their body. SoulFlow Journeys is committed to providing experienced yoga instructors who lead accessible practices for practitioners at all levels.

Do I have to attend all yoga sessions and activities on the schedule?

This is your trip. At SoulFlow Journeys we build in time to rest and relax, but everyone has different desires for their vacation. Please know that everything we do as a group is optional and an invitation.

I have a specific diet or food allergies. Will the chef be able to accommodate?

At SoulFlow Journeys we take pride in supporting retreat centers that provide locally sourced cuisine along with the consideration of dietary restrictions. Please let us know in advance any food sensitivities or preferences.

When is payment due?

An initial deposit ($500) is required when you register to hold your spot and the remainder of the balance is due within 90 days prior to our retreat departure date.

Do I need Travel Insurance?

Travel insurance is highly encouraged for all trips. We are happy to recommend a travel insurer that we trust and use ourselves. There are a few trips in which travel insurance is required due to the retreat center's requirements.

Do I need any specific preparations or shots to travel abroad?

We recommend that you do two things prior to any travel. First, check what the CDC recommends. Note that some recommendations are for rural vs. urban areas, not entire countries. Second, talk to your primary care doctor about what they recommend specifically for you.

What should I pack? Do I need a passport? Or visa?

At least 30 days prior to your retreat we send out a suggested packing list. In the meantime, make sure your passport's expiration date is more than 6 months after our return date. If you don't already have a passport, please apply at least 4-6 months prior to our trip. Visit the travel.state.gov website to get started. If a visa is required we will be in touch and walk through the process. Passport or visa fees are not include.
